Quiet Times on the Sun – Calm Before the Storm?
Good morning. Here is an updated look at the visible solar disk on Wednesday. Solar activity is at very low levels with no noteworthy solar flares to report. What remains of region 2381 is now turning onto the west limb and out of direct Earth view.
A new sunspot is turning into view off the east limb and so far appears to be stable. We will get a better look at it during the next day or so. Geomagnetic activity is also at quieter levels with no storming currently in the forecast.
