Ali`i Mana`o Nui Lanny Sinkin 7-23-15… “Amended Complaint”
Ali`i Mana`o Nui Lanny Sinkin: Now that the severe restrictions on spiritual practice imposed by the Office of Mauna Kea Management have been withdrawn, we have decided to withdraw the motion for a temporary restraining order and proceed to the preliminary injunction.
We have also filed an Amended Complaint. This Amended Complaint is far more extensive than the original Complaint because new evidence emerged in the Hawai’i Tribune-Herald regarding the collusion between various State agencies and TMT lawyers to develop a plan for suppressing the constitutional and statutory rights of the Protectors.
In pursuit of that goal, the State agencies adopted policies, rules, and regulations that also violated the rights of spiritual practitioners and the traditional and customary rights of Native Hawaiians.
The Amended Complaint alleges a conspiracy that is involving numerous State agencies in the misuse of their regulatory powers to achieve illegal and unconstitutional political goals.
