More Email Trouble for Hillary Clinton

Well, this could muck up the campaign trail for Hillary Clinton: On Thursday evening, The New York Times reported that two inspectors general are looking to resuscitate the debate about the Democratic front-runner’s emails from her tenure as secretary of state, and they mean business.
Here’s the gist of the Times’ report:
Two inspectors general have asked the Justice Department to open a criminal investigation into whether Hillary Rodham Clinton mishandled sensitive government information on a private email account she used as secretary of state, senior government officials said Thursday.
The request follows an assessment in a June 29 memo by the inspectors general for the State Department and the intelligence agencies that Mrs. Clinton’s private account contained “hundreds of potentially classified emails.” The memo was written to Patrick F. Kennedy, the under secretary of state for management.
It is not clear if any of the information in the emails was marked as classified by the State Department when Mrs. Clinton sent or received them.
The paper also pointed out that Clinton had said repeatedly that she had not used that account for classified communications. The DOJ hadn’t decided by press time whether to open an investigation.
