Robber runs away after store clerk takes his shotgun

An attempted robbery at an E-Z Mart in Hooks, Texas, Monday night was amiss after the store clerk took the suspect’s shotgun.
The suspect, who was described as a black male wearing a gray hoodie and a mask, entered the store about 11:30 p.m., but when the clerk saw an opportunity to take the would-be robber’s shotgun, he did just that, which sent the suspect fleeing from the store on foot.
Responding officers were unable to locate the male suspect, but his shotgun was left behind and collected for evidence.
It’s unknown if the suspect made it out of the store with any cash.
