If any subject is verboten in the US, it’s any revelations about the atomic bombs which Uncle Sam dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki back in 1945.
The ‘Little Boy’ bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6th, and the ‘Fat Man’ bomb was then dropped on the city of Nagasaki on August 9th. Such charming nicknames for such violently destructive weapons. The bombings were estimated to have killed some 140,000 people in Hiroshima and up to 80,000 in Nagasaki, along with countless others who are likely to have died or been born with birth defects long after the initial exposure.
