An anchor baby is delivered every 93 seconds in U.S.
In some circles, the term “anchor baby” has become highly charged. Hispanic activists and their amigos in the mainstream media consider it a slur. Seeing Red AZ views it as accurately descriptive, as evidenced by our post “Ending birthright citizenship = end to anchor babies,” this past week.
The term relates to a gross misinterpretation of the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution that has transmogrified into gifting American citizenship to American-born children of illegal alien mothers. It has also spawned an obscene industry known as birth tourism.
The specific provision of the Fourteen Amendment adopted in 1868 rightly provided American citizenship to the American-born children of African-born slaves following emancipation. It was never intended to be misused to convey citizenship to American-born newborns of illegal aliens.
The concept has further expanded to allow these babies to act as conduits for the entire family to facilitate chain migration / family reunification.
With this as background, our “Weekend reading guaranteed to make you smarter,” provides the shocking fact that about one out of every twelve newborns in the United States is now an anchor baby — or the U.S.-citizen child of illegal aliens.
Writing for Breitbart, Julia Hahn presents a revealing and fact filled account in “Census: Anchor baby delivered every 93 seconds.”
If you read only a single article this weekend, make sure this is the one.
Information is power. Use it to confront those who call themselves our Representatives. They are in Arizona campaigning for our votes. Hold their feet to the fire and ask them what they intend to do to keep us from losing our own country to this invasion. These numbers are based on the 2008 Census, so they are actually understated.
