In My opinion Alcolholism is a Three Fold Disease Physical,Mental and Spiritual.Hospitalization handels,the physical, Treatment the mental and the Spiritual is an individual personal journey. Groups like A.A. Rational Recovery and Religion have helped this journey but many still don’t make it and end up in the morgue , prisons or state hospital with wet brain.
The Oxford group early this century applied 1st century Christianity and had a promising sucess rate. This branched off into Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935. Today it’s now very successful but still the disease progresses. One drink, no matter how much time you have and it’s like you never quit.
