Crayons, while one of the cooler parts of childhood arts and crafts, don’t weigh a whole lot, which is one of the exact opposites of what you want in shot loaded into shotgun shell hulls. Another quality about your standard shot such as lead, steel, tungsten and bismuth, is that they are very dense and, well, metal– another thing that crayons are not.
But they are full of pretty groovy colored wax, which has its own special glittery appeal when it comes to hitting ballistics gel at several hundred feet per second.
