Feds seize Hillary’s server, probe expands to aides
Townhall’s Guy Benson does a first-rate job of delving into the numerous red-flag aspects of what is justifiably described as the “burgeoning federal inquiry” into the most sensitive, top-secret information on Hillary Clinton’s private computer server.
The Department of Justice has now taken custody of the server kept in the basement of her Chappaqua New York estate, which contained classified information Clinton repeatedly declared she didn’t have.
Last month, as the issue began unraveling, her faithful apologist Lanny Davis relied on the old “vast right-wing conspiracy” canard when discussing her sagging trustworthiness numbers in key battleground states.
Revelations that Clinton’s emails include classified information has prompted an FBI inquiry into whether the data was improperly stored on her private server and thumb drive. The news has triggered alarm among national security experts that the federal government’s secrets may have been exposed or even hacked. Clinton, now a presidential candidate, steadfastly maintains she never sent or received any classified information on her private email account while Secretary of State.
Clinton has resisted surrendering control of her server. In March, she said her emails contained “personal communications from my husband and me,” though Bill Clinton says he’s only emailed twice in his life.
With the Clinton’s, the only thing that changes is the level of intrigue, deceit and cover-up.
