Jon Snow recounts the scene in Gaza’s al-Shifa hospital, where doctors
struggle to treat adults and children wounded by Israeli attacks.
But what we now know is that on Snow’s multiple visits to Gaza since that Summer, he has offered very practical support too. This news will come as a major embarrassment to the Israeli military who control the Erez crossing at the north of Gaza.
Palestinian artist’s work to go on display in London after Channel 4′s Jon Snow smuggles it out of Gaza:
The exhibition Gaza on Gaza will open on August 7 (you can find details here). The pieces were made by Palestinian teens, as part of the art therapy which aims to help the 1 million under-18 year olds trapped in the Gaza Strip. Under near-constant siege by Israel, the young people need ways to work through the psycho-social impacts of occupation, entrapment, siege, and war. Thanks to Jon Snow, their work is now in London, on full view to all.
