More unveilings about the so-called “State of Hawaii”, thanks to Prof. Williamson Chang.
Not only was the Kingdom of Hawai’i never annexed, when the “Territory of Hawaii” came up, and when the US Congress passed bill for governing Hawaii, they never defined the territory. No island names were ever mentioned. Statehood vote: same thing.
Main point: the “State of Hawaii” not only does NOT exist, there is NOTHING IN IT.
Suggested slogan for potential visitors: “Come to the State of Hawaii: the state with Nothing” (or the new license plate slogan: “Hawaii: The Nothing State”).
