ONLINE ‘NEWS’ STORY SHARED DESPITE OBVIOUSLY BEING BOLLOCKS
A story has been uploaded to Before Its News asserting some wild claim or other, even though on closer inspection is was just the crazy opinion of a curiously labelled ‘expert’, studyologist Dr Zeus Bojangles revealed in an explosive interview.
“The headline was in capitals so that makes it more true” said Dr Bojangles, “most people don’t read past that bit. Did you know there’s porn online as well?”
Very few people bothered to research the ‘expert’ mentioned, even though his name was clearly made up by some stoner in Manchester who really should go to sleep.
“It looks convincing though” Dr Bojangles continued, “and if you drop a link to the story in an argumentative Facebook thread, other people won’t have time to read it or verify it before punching a sweet ad hominem into their keyboard, so it will make you look really clever because you’ve got a search engine”.
“Conspiracy theorists will no doubt believe it as it’s published in the alternative media (the internet) as opposed to the mainstream media (the internet) which is to be distrusted at all times unless it backs up some point you’ve just decided to make”.
A representative of The Industry confirmed, “I don’t want you to know about this”.
