Rick Perry expected to close 2016 campaign

(Before It's News)

The unwieldy list of 17 Republican presidential candidates appears to be paring itself down.

It’s being reported that Rick Perry’s presidential campaign team is no longer being paid. Fundraising has not met expectations for the former Texas governor and his polling numbers have never risen beyond 2 percent.  That fact prevented Perry from participating in the Top 10 prime time Presidential debate Aug. 6, hosted by Fox News and viewed by a record 24 million.

Wikipedia has a listing of the current 2016 GOP candidates. Expect the roster to continue to narrow. Watch for shuffling to take place as others follow Perry off the political stage and a second tier candidate repositions.  We’re expecting the impressive Carly Fiorina to advance.

Fiorina shared the earlier non-prime time debate stage with Rick Perry, Bobby Jindal, Lindsey Graham, Rick Santorum, George Pataki, and Jim Gilmore.

Establishment favorite Jeb Bush is lagging with American voters, who haven’t warmed to him as Karl Rove and the illegal labor profiteers at the Chamber of Commerce have.

Donald Trump continues to dominate the news and poll numbers as evidenced in this NBC News survey taken after the debate. Fiorina and Ted Cruz had the biggest gain in favorability ratings, at seven and six points, respectively. Trump gained one additional point, adding to his 22 percent surge in the polling last week.

Poll results showed that 54 percent of Trump’s supporters indicated they would vote for him as an Independent candidate if he doesn’t win the Republican nomination.

A rash of controversial comments that would have deep-sixed other candidates by now, don’t stick to the Teflon Trump.

Trump’s steadfast commitment to addressing America’s easily penetrable border and his resolve to build a wall, have driven his continually burgeoning numbers. Promises of amnesty for illegals and inaction on the invasion of our country don’t resonate with American voters.
