(Before It's News)

21st Century Wire says…

Controversial left-wing philosopher Slavoj Zizek laments about the ‘good old days’ of Socialist Realism, out of which grows a surprisingly interesting discuss about the nature of reality.

“It’s not that we arrive at universal truth by abstracting from our particular engagement… vis a vis each of us has our own positions, but the truth emerges only when we can step outside ourselves and look at the situation more objectively, the way it really is. No! On the contrary, we should fully assume the paradox of universal truth being accessible only a partial, engaged position,” says Zizek.
