On July 20th, filings on federal lobbying expenditures made between April 1, 2015 and June 30, 2015 were due to the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives. MapLight analyzed the 10 organizations that spent the most on lobbying Congress and federal agencies during this time period.
Take a guess which three organizations spent record amounts on lobbying efforts in the second quarter of 2015.
The arrows on either side of this chart, move to the next lobbying group and the amount they spent to influence votes. This compelling site is chock full of intriguing information regarding the money flow.
If you’ve wondered why your members of the U.S. House and Senate aren’t responding to your concerns about such crucial issues as the continuing illegal invasion of our country, the answer can be found on these pages. Check out some of the bills by clicking on the bill title and compare the funding to the votes. Money talks.
MapLight bills itself as “celebrating 10 years of revealing money’s influence on politics.” We think you’ll agree they do a bang-up job. There’s even more to find as you nose around the site. Chances are you’ll spend some quality time here.
