Why They Call Us Moon Women

She was a woman who was intimately connected to the mysteries of the moon and in the mist, in the middle of the night, she would awaken, called once more to howl in her graceful prowess. In many ancient cultures women used to be synchronised with the moon. The moon’s electromagnetic frequencies sync with a woman’s Pineal gland, which in-turn release hormones to signal your moon or red cycle. With EMF emitting technologies running rapid, synthetic birth control and lack of connection to Great Mother Gaia and The Moon, our electromagnetic centers may be a bit haywire. Do not fret for I will tell you ways later to get back “in-sync”.
In ancient times the world was not of the patriarchal hierarchy we see today. Anthropologist and Archaeologist alike have found this to be true, Woman were the first Shaman or Medicine givers within a tribe. Woman first understood the movements of the earth and circle of life, because they were intimately connected to those cycles through their body. Woman had a unique bond in tribe because all of the woman in the tribe would “sync” menstrual cycles and since all the women would bleed together. This was an intimate time to gather in the “red tent” and pass on wisdom.
So come, I welcome you, join me in the red tent! You have earned it. The word root for menstruation mens, is the same for moon, month and measurement. The first measurement of time, the first calendar was based on the menstrual cycle. The Sanskit word for ritual and menstruation is the same – r’ku. This shows you how profound that a woman’s intuition is with the cycles within the universe and our planet. These energies move with nature: Birth, Growth, Bloom, Harvest, Decay, Death and Rebirth. Moving intimately with the seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Compare that to the woman’s life and you will see the Maiden, the Mother, the Mage, and the Crone.
Each of these energies reside in each week of a month for a woman and if you are aware of these energy fluctuations within yourself, you will have a more intertwined connection of the energy flow within the universe. Understand the flow within your body is understanding how to not only capitalize on when you are the most fertile but also you will have deeper understanding of the manifestation process. This is why both men and women can benefit from this knowledge because the way the woman’s body flows is a mirror of all that is. With the exception of looking for bodily ques, men can use these energy flows within their lives to also maintain a sustainable flow of energy.
