91-Year-Old Woman Finally Charged with 260,000 Counts of Accessory to Murder at Auschwitz
A 91-year-old German woman, a former female SS member who worked at Auschwitz, has officially been charged in the Nazi murders of 260,000 people.
A spokesman in the state of Schleswig-Holstein said the woman, who has not been identified, was a former SS member who allegedly served as a radio operator for the camp commandment. He said the woman does not appear to be unfit for trial, and the court should decide sometime next year on whether to proceed with the case. (source)
While it is good that justice will be served, it’s kind of a slap in the face at the same time, this token trial.
Because we all know SS Officer Josef Mengele, an inhumane psychopath who reportedly laughed as he experimented on unwitting victims including pregnant women and children in Auschwitz, got to live to the ripe old age of 68 in Buenos Aires and he’s not the only one. Lots of other Nazi monsters that the elite smuggled out of the country at the end of World War II got to live out their lives free from justice in South America.
In fact, the U.S. government smuggled hundreds of Nazi scientists out of Europe at the end of World War II and spared them from the Nuremberg trials, instead giving them positions at upper crust colleges like Harvard and jobs with federal agencies under Operation Paperclip.
Millions of documents on Operation Paperclip are not only still classified to this day, but they likely always will be.
So this lady got to live her entire life out free even though she was complicit in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people who might finally see justice now at the end of her long life, while the Nazi leadership at the top has never and will never be held accountable for their crimes against humanity.
