AL: Neighbor Shoots Pit Bull Attacking Child

According to Edwards, two children were playing in a yard when the dog jumped over a 6 foot wooden fence and bit a nine-year-old boy.

The mother heard the screams and came outside. Two neighbors came to help. One neighbor tried to get the dog off the child by striking it with a bat, then the other neighbor shot the dog twice, Edwards confirmed.
