For the past ten days Brian and I have been putting the final touches on our “Mobile Accountability for Cops” Tour. For those unaware, Brian and I will be leaving Ohio shortly to spend the next seven months in “MAC” (the Mobile Accountability for Cops RV). Our journey will take us from Ohio to California and back – stops and meetups listed here. Along the way we’ll interact with other CopBlockers, hold meetups, CopBlock (film the police), and document as much of it (even life on the road) as possible. Our goals are to bring awareness to each location (or person) we visit, inspire others to film the police, and better ourselves in the process.
We’ve spent over a month planning this trip and feel we’ve got most aspects covered. MAC was purchased by exchanging ad space on the RV with several liberty-minded organizations/websites like LRN.fm, Cell 411, Counter Current News, Free Keene, and the CopBlock Network. Brian and I are also outfitted with a number of computers, cameras, and more that will allow us to produce a high level of content while on the road. Our travel budget is derived from our CopBlock Network roles, YouTube ad revenue, and a donation from the Police Accountability Foundation.
Though we’ve worked hard to plan out every aspect of the trip, sometimes things just happen while on the road. It should also be noted that gas is our largest expense but a difficult one to plan for with the adjusting prices from state to state – or season to season. To accommodate these variable factors in our budget for the next week, we’re offering some great perks to anyone who would like to donate to the MAC tour. Below is a list of of suggested donations, what they’ll be used for, and what we’ll give you, as a thank you, for your generosity.
Donation Amount, Use and Perk:
$5 Snack = These donations will go to pad our Food budget.
PERK: Ademo and Brian will send you a personal email thanking you for your donation.
$10 Meal = Like the Snack donation, this will also go to pad our food budget.
PERK: 2 CopBlock Stickers (one square, one standard bumper) and 2 Bracelets.
$25 Gas = MAC gets approximately 10 mpg and with prices varying it’s hard to budget exactly so helping our gas fund is a huge help!
PERK: CopBlock.org LOGO or Keep Calm and Film the Police t-shirt (Medium – XL ONLY).
$50 “the Works” = This donation will be split between food and gas, keeping both aspects of the MAC tour FUELED UP.
PERK: T-shirt (same as above), 4 CopBlock.org stickers (2 square, 2 Bumper) and 10 bracelets.
$100 “Kitchen Sink” = The “Kitchen Sink” donation will be split between fueling MAC and TEAM plus padding our emergency/repairs fund.
PERK: Otterbox OR LifeProof gift card ($120 value, plus free shipping) and 4 CopBlock.org stickers(2 square, 2 Bumper) and 10 bracelets.
**Please note, you will not be asked about shirt size or perk details with donations. Brain and/or I will contact you directly to thank you for your donation and acquire additional information.**
The tour is set to officially kick off on October 1st but we’ve already been out filming the police; as seen in these videos of our trip to Cincinnati last weekend. We can’t wait to visit a police station near you and want to thank you in advance for your donation. It will provide us with a peace of mind for these variable, or unforeseen, expenses.
