(Before It's News)

Kenneth ShekaAn off-duty officer with the Temple Police Department was arrested last week at a gathering of law enforcement officials in El Paso after he grabbed a server, then fired his gun after the advances did not go as he envisioned.

Cpl. Kenneth Lee Sheka, 28, had been consuming alcohol before he started making “crude remarks” of a sexual nature toward the woman. But when he touched her inappropriately, she responded by returning with another male by her side and warned him not to touch her again. Then, as she walked away, Sheka reacted by pulling out a pistol and firing a round into the wall.

But the convention hall where the altercation occurred was full of law enforcement officers, who “responded immediately” and subdued Sheka, according to El Paso Police Sgt. Enrique Carrillo.

Sheka was arrested by fellow officers and charged with deadly conduct/discharge of firearm, a third-degree felony.
