Most people will get a kick out of this list. While I personally have no need for cat duster slippers, and having my own dog bark translator might be an essential in some households, I would never let a filthy feline into my home anyway, and my dog speaks just fine. Frankly she’s a good listener too, and one hell of a therapist, so no need for that one either, however I could use me some of the spray on hair I think…
Here are ten inventions that fortunately never made it into our homes:
10. Spray On Hair
The product first hit infomercials in the 1990s. The spray on hair product offered bald people a cheaper alternative. Unfortunately, it looked too much like paint in a can.
9. Shower Hood
Looking more like the beekeeper’s hood, it ‘s clear to see why a shower can is more popular than this these days. The shower hood was invented in the 1970s.
8. The Readamatic
The Readamatic Pacer was invented in 1963 and was designed to increase reading speed. It was unpractical and noisy and thereby not surprising that it did not sit well with consumers.
7. Cat Duster Slippers
Cat Duster Slippers were invented to get rid of any dust around the house. The only problem is that cats tend to sleep a lot and would end up doing less dusting than the homeowner.
