Pawtucket, RI – At Tolman High School on Wednesday, a short video clip created outrage demonstrating a police officer violently arresting a 14-year-old boy.
Police stated the pupil was behaving wild prior to the occurrence, purportedly attempting to combat with another pupil. Based on law enforcement, while the police officer was attempting to detain the 14-year-old, the student’s 17-year-old brother assaulted the police officer.
The video doesn’t display the assault; it only exhibits the 17-year-old boy face down on the floor. At that point, the 14-year-old neared the police officer, and he’s instantly slammed to the floor.
On Wednesday, the video clip rapidly progressed virus-like sparking a resultant protest at Tolman High on Thursday. The protest was peaceful at first but became disorderly when the fire alert went off inside the school, and all the students were required to evacuate.
As the protest progressed, the mayor got engaged. “I’m asking you to put your trust in me,” Mayor Don Grebien stated to the pupils. “I’m going to listen to you.”
As outlined by media, Grebien pleaded for the pupils to head back to class. He made the decision to connect with with a few pupils at city hall.
As the law enforcement appearance elevated, so did the hassle, and a window was purportedly destroyed.
After law enforcement detained 2 adults and 8 teenagers, they commenced to move in on the crowd, dousing them with pepper spray at the same time. Authorities state they were obligated to pepper spray the crowd of high schoolers due to the fact they were “being threatened.”

“Myself along with Chief King, the Pawtucket Police Chief, chatted with State Colonel Steven O’Donnell and we had discussions and we all decided that the Pawtucket Police Department and Rhode Island State Police will be collectively executing a full investigation of the video clip that we’ve all viewed and the problem at hand,” Grebien stated. “I believe that we need to make sure this is a transparent process, there needs to be some open dialogue.”
The protest concluded by 11:30 am and there were no further occurrences.
On Thursday, media talked with the 2 teens who stated there was no need for the police brutality.

It’s hard to see trying to watch a tiny video window, of an even tinier phone video, using a cellphone, but it looked like the baby goat (kid) grabbed the cop, prompting the cop to slam the baby goat in self- defense.
