Last night, Hillary Clinton and four other people who are only there to make it look like she has actual competition took the stage for the first Dem debate. I write “debate,” but really it was just an excuse to give Hillary presidential candidate airtime while four other guys stood around at podiums.
This morning, news outlet talking heads are sucking up to her as if they didn’t just spend the last six months nailing her butt to the wall over her email server scandal (as if that’s even the worst thing the woman has ever done).
From NYT Columnist Frank Bruni’s “I never doubted that Hillary Clinton had many talents. I just didn’t know that seamstress was among them… she threaded the needle as delicately and perfectly as a politician could” to Van Jones on CNN with “Hillary Clinton was Beyonce. She was flawless,” it’s enough to make anyone paying attention sick how contrived this whole thing is.
Outlet after outlet this morning have reminded us Hillary is the only real Democratic candidate, oh, and that she’s the only female candidate. Even Trump is praising her “win”.
Washington Post began its coverage of the (staged) event with, “Hillary Rodham Clinton was the only candidate on stage last night who looked like a plausible president…”
And that’s pretty much everything you need to know. That, and this Tweet from Mother Jones DC Editor David Corn:
HRC folks should hope for a Clinton-Bush general. Compare her performance to his. #Demdebate

But on top of that, all those people who support Sanders might as well put down their pom poms and back away from their social media platforms.
Here’s the moment Sanders openly handed Hillary the nomination on tape:
“The American people are sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails,” Sanders declared. “Thank you, me too, me too!” Clinton replies, cackling. Then she share a laugh and warm handshake like good pals. “Thank you, Bernie!” she says, shaking his hand for the free pass.
The point of the email scandal is supposed to be to show how corrupt Hillary is… how much it reveals what’s going on behind the scenes, how enormous the divide is between what the public knows and what’s really going on. It demonstrates she isn’t qualified for president. Is the American public really “sick and tired” of the truth about that?
Despite appearances, the other side of the aisle is just as engineered. You have a ridiculous amount of Republican candidates essentially running interference for the Bush camp to water down the pool and hand delegates to Jeb.
It’s all so fake, it’s enough to make you want to puke.
