Speaker Paul Ryan? Another conservative betrayal

(Before It's News)

Pro-amnesty Ryan supported by liberals

Senate minority leader Harry Reid’s sloppy wet smooch to Paul Ryan shouldn’t be doing much good for Ryan’s aspirations to be anointed to succeed House Speaker John Boehner, whose limp tenure has been a colossal disappointment.

The liberal Nevada Democrat threw his support to Wisconsin Republican Ryan, saying he hopes Ryan runs and wins the job because he’s a “Paul Ryan fan.” According to Reid’s assessment,  Ryan “appears to me to be one of the people over there that would be reasonable.”

After being sold as a conservative and economic wizard as Mitt Romney’s 2012 Vice Presidential running mate, Ryan revealed himself to be a leading proponent of amnesty — a defining issue for a wide swath of grassroots GOP voters.

Pro-amnesty Democrat Harry Reid is not alone in supporting Ryan as House Speaker. Committed amnesty proponent and far left Illinois Congressman Luis Gutierrez, who worked with Ryan on amnesty legislation, has also thrown his support behind his candidacy.

Gutierrez has vouched for Paul Ryan with these troubling words, “I want you to know that in 2005 when Jeff Flake and I introduced a comprehensive immigration bill … and Kennedy and McCain was the first bipartisan, bicameral bill, Paul Ryan was an original co-sponsor of comprehensive immigration reform.”

Let that message sink in. No wonder status quo politicians are losing ground with frustrated voters.

On Tuesday Senate Democrats, led by Ryan enthusiast Harry Reid, blocked a vote on (S 2146), titled “Stop Sanctuary Policies and Protect Americans Act.” It was tied to a bill known as “Kate’s Law” named for San Francisco resident Kate Steinle who was shot and killed while walking on the pier with her father. The bill imposed a mandatory five-year prison sentence on any illegal convicted of an aggravated felony who returns to the U.S. after being deported. Democrats blocked Kate’s Law because it was attached to a provision to defund sanctuary cities, which the left steadfastly supports.

Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly addressed the issue with these words:

Foolishly, instead of simply voting straight up on Kate’s Law, the Senate put both pieces of legislation together. Everybody knew that would doom the vote, yet the Republicans did it anyway. That’s what makes Americans furious with the political system in Washington,” he said. “This is why Donald Trump and Ben Carson continue to lead in the Republican polling. A recent CNN poll has Trump at 27%, Carson at 22%, and no one else in double figures. Both Trump and Carson support Kate’s Law and would not play political games with it. There comes a point where the American people are going to have to take back their government. When a 32-year-old woman can be gunned down by an illegal felon who had been deported five times and you cannot get a strict law punishing illegal alien felons you really don’t have a functioning government.”

The first time conservatives get sand kicked in their faces, shame on the kickers. The successive times it happens, shame on the conservatives. Haven’t we dealt with enough deceit on the topic of the illegal invasion from Arizona’s senators McCain and Flake to have made us wary of the arrogant candidacy of Paul Ryan? Arizona’s Representatives need to hear from us ASAP. Their contact information is here.
