We are often forgetful when it comes to celebrity and Hollwyood misdeeds. Most celebrities even get away with a slap on the wrist when it comes to criminal activity. Here are the Top 10 Crimes Committed by Celebrities:
10. Wesley Snipes
Wesley Snipes was incarcerated in a medium security federal prison in Pennsylvania and was released in summer of 2013. The verdict was judged to be overly harsh by many in the media and it quickly put the rest of Hollywood on notice – pay those taxes or face countless nights alone in cell with a 6ft tattooed dude named “Bubba”. The crime? On October 12, 2006, Snipes, Eddie Ray Kahn, and Douglas P. Rosile were charged with one count of conspiring to defraud the United States and one count of knowingly making or aiding and abetting the making of a false and fraudulent claim for payment against the United States. Snipes was also charged with six counts of willfully failing to file federal income tax returns by their filing dates/
9. Amy Locane-Bovenizer
Amy Locane-Bovenizer a former TV and film actress who married and became a stay-at-home mother, was sentenced to just three years — the minimum allowed by law — to state prison in 2013 for drinking and driving cause death. The incident took place in 2010. A 60 year old female driver lost her life and the driver’s husband was seriously injured in the crash.
8. Snoop Dogg
Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., aka. Snoop Dogg, is an American rapper and actor. His music career started in year 1992 with album Diggystyle which became number 1 on Billboard 200. Snoop was on criminal record after completing his graduation as he was in and out of jail many times for possession of cocaine for 3 years. August 1993, Snoop was arrested and put on for trial due to his connection with the death of a rival gang member Philip Woldemariam who was actually shot and as a result killed by his bodyguard. Snoop was charged with murder as he was driving the vehicle from which shooting occurred, both of them were acquitted as Lee shot him for self defence but Snoop was entangled in legal battles and was proven guilty in civil court.
7. Matthew Broderick
In 1987, the main actor of Inspector Gadget ended an amazing holiday with his former girlfriend in a terrible car accident. The accident occurred when Broderick drove on the wrong-side of a road, colliding with an oncoming vehicle. The crash resulted in both the driver and passenger in the other vehicle to lose their lives.
6. Tim Allen
Tim Allen was arrested in 1978 at the age of 25 for possessing more than 650 grams of cocaine. He actually ended up going to prison as a result, and served two and a half years. He was later arrested in 1997 for driving under the influence and was sentenced to a year’s probation as well as a period of alcohol rehab. I guess Santa Claus is naughty afterall and deserves a good spanking this Christmas holiday.
