Witness: homeless man had skull, using it ‘like a puppet’ (VIDEO)
Nick Pecoraro thought the skull was a Halloween prank until he got close enough to find out that the item in the man’s hand, “smelled like death.” At that point, he dropped a dime.
“It’s definitely a human skull it’s still got teeth in it,” Pecoraro told the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office from the parking lot of a Sebastian, Florida grocery store. “I’m standing in front of it, but I’m not touching it.”
Responding authorities determined the unidentified homeless man had found the skeletal remains in a wooded area where he was camping.
Thomas Raulen, a spokesman for the Sheriff, told WPBF, “He had put the skull on top of a trash can over there because he wanted to tell somebody to call the sheriff’s office.”
