Woman bites off attacker’s tongue during sexual assault (VIDEO)

A 33-year-old woman fought back against a man during a sexual assault in her North Charleston home early Friday morning by completely biting off his tongue.
The woman told authorities the suspect knocked at her door several times, but each time she went to the door, there did not appear to be anybody there. On the final knock, the woman saw the suspect standing with a large knife at his chest. He lunged at her before she could close the door, then forced his way into the house.
Once inside, the suspect punched the woman, tackled her to the ground and reportedly told her that he would not hurt her if she stopped fighting. But the woman continued to fight.
Eventually, the suspect forced the woman into her bedroom before trying to tear off her shorts. At that point, the woman kicked the suspect in the groin, to which he reacted by telling her she was going to die. He then forced his tongue into the woman’s mouth, something he would soon regret. The woman told the police she “bit his tongue as hard as she could until she heard it snap.”
With the suspect’s tongue still in her mouth, the woman ran downstairs and spit it out on the floor as she fled from the home. She drove to a nearby business where she called 911.
When police arrive on the scene, the suspect was no longer there, but they recovered his severed tongue and placed it on ice for evidence.
A short time later, authorities received another 911 call from the suspect’s mother, who reported her son as “not having a tongue and needing medical assistance.”
Authorities determined that the man in need of medical assistance was in fact the suspect in the sexual assault. He has since been identified as 16-year-old Antoine Miller, arrested and charged as an adult for first-degree criminal sexual conduct, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and first-degree kidnapping. Miller is being held on a $500,000 bond for the assault and possession charges, but there is no bond on the remaining charges.
