10-year-old boy on first hunting trip gets 2 deer with 1 shot
It’s a once in a lifetime shot, but it was accomplished by a 10-year-old boy on his first hunting expedition. Kyler Verbeten of Green Bay took down two deer on his first hunt and while that may not be all that impressive, the fact that he did it with a single shot most certainly is.
Kyler was with his dad, Matt, when he aimed to shoot a large doe Sunday, and although he missed his first shot, he made up for it with the second shot, striking not one, but two deer.
“I was so excited I almost jumped out of the stand,” Kyler said. “I just ran down the ladder and ran out there to look at them.”
The young boy added he will be sitting in the woods with his dad and brothers for the rest of the season and will definitely be back next year.
