Undercard event begins at 5 pm (AZ time)
The prime-time debate which will last two hours begins tonight at 7:00 pm AZ Time, (9 pm ET) and includes candidates who earned 2.5 percent or higher in the four most recent national polls conducted through Nov. 4.
This top-tier event features Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, John Kasich and Rand Paul. Moderators are Fox Business Managing Editor Neil Cavuto and Global Markets editor Maria Bartiromo, along with Wall Street Journal editor-in-chief Gerard Baker.
To qualify for the single hour second-rung debate, the bar is low. Candidates need only score at least 1 percent in the polls. This event will start at 5:00 pm AZ time, (7 pm ET). Relegated to second stage this time around are Mike Huckabee and Chris Christie. They will appear with Bobby Jindal and Rick Santorum.
This event will be hosted by Fox Business’ Sandra Smith and Trish Regan and Wall Street Journal Washington bureau chief Gerald Seib.
Neither Lindsey Graham nor George Pataki qualified for the debate stage, having failed to meet the 1 percent minimum requirement.
Both debates promise to focus on jobs, taxes and the economy, as well as domestic and international policy issues. They will be broadcast from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
