5.9 magnitude quake hits northern Afghanistan – YouTube
The US Geological Survey says a five point 9 magnitude earthquake has struck northern Afghanistan.
The quake struck 22 kilometers southwest of Ishkashim district in Badakhshan province which is some 300 kilometers northeast of the capital Kabul. There have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties. The tremor was felt across northern Afghanistan and Pakistan and also in the Indian capital Delhi. Afghanistan is frequently hit by earthquakes, especially in the Hindu Kush mountain range. In October, a 7 point 5 magnitude quake ripped across Pakistan and Afghanistan, killing almost 400 people.
