(Before It's News)

Here is the WWE’s official response to this rumored ISIS threat: “WWE Survivor Series is currently scheduled as planned while we investigate the matter with federal, state and local authorities.”

In addition to this, Mark Winne (a reporter for the Atlanta-based WSB-TV) has issued a series of tweets indicating that the FBI and authorities in Atlanta are taking this threat seriously, but there’s no indication that this would be anything more than a “lone wolf” bomber.

WSB-TV also received the following statement from the FBI: “The FBI is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an Atlanta, Georgia venue and event. While we take all threats seriously, we do not have specific or credible information of an attack at this time. We have, however, made the proper notifications as we continue to work closely with our law enforcement and private sector partners to keep our community safe.”

Last week, ISIS claimed responsibility for those horrific terrorist attacks in Paris and has since lobbed threats of attacks in Times Square in New York City and in D.C., Italy, and France. According to a new leak of ISIS intelligence from Anonymous (who has declared their own cyber war on ISIS), a host of attacks have been rumored to go down on Sunday, one of which includes the WWE’s annual Survivor Series pay-per-view event that will take place at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday evening.

This is part of a larger list of threats at events scheduled on November 22, 2015 across the world. The following events are listed as being confirmed to be at risk:

Demonstration by: “Collectif du droit des femmes” (Group for women’s rights) (Demonstrations are now banned, cancelled)
Cigales Electroniques with Vocodecks, RE-Play & Rawtor at Le Bizen

Concrete Invites Drumcode: Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Joel Mull.. at Concrete (Probably cancelled)

The Survivor Series is among a list of events worldwide that do not have a 100% confirmation of being at risk:

WWE Survival Series (US)
Feast of Christ the King celebrations (Rome/Worldwide)
Al-Jihad, 1 Day Juz (Indonesia)
Five Finger Death Punch (Milan, Italy)
University Pastoral Day (Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanon)

In a separate press release, Anonymous says that their “goal is to make sure the whole world, or at least the people going to these events, know that there have been threats and that there is possibility of an attack to happen. Another goal is to make sure Daesh knows that the whorld [sic] knows and cancels the attacks, which will disorientate them for a while.” They go on to say that they will “remain neutral in whether events should be cancelled or not, that is up to the organisers to decide. We only share information.”

This Sunday’s Survivor Series is set to not only feature the culmination of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament (a title that was vacated after Seth Rollins sustained a massive knee injury), but is also set to be a celebration of The Undertaker’s 25-year career in the WWE.

The WWE hasn’t released a public statement yet, but we have reached out to them for comment.
