A man claiming to be a police officer forced his way into a Phoenix residence and fired shots, injuring the homeowner and a 12-year-old boy Sunday night, police said Monday.
Sgt. Trent Crump, a Phoenix police spokesman, said the man fired a rifle at the male homeowner and the boy after forcing open the front door of the residence, located near Oak and 20th streets.
