(Before It's News)

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is asking the public for help in identifying a man wanted for an attempted robbery and shooting of an armored car driver in Houston earlier this month.

The FBI released surveillance video of the incident, which shows the suspect get out of a white Jeep Patriot – which was later determined to be stolen – in the parking lot of a Bank of America. The suspect emerged with a high-caliber weapon and opened fire on a Loomis armored truck guard. Although the guard was struck several times, he survived the ordeal. The suspect left empty-handed before fleeing from the scene with a getaway driver in a blue or purple-toned four-door sedan.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’9” to 6’2” tall. He was wearing a gray, long-sleeved “hoodie” and a bulletproof vest, and ran with a noticeable limp.

Authorities and Loomis are offering up to a $15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477), text tips to CRIMES (274637) and start your entry with TIP610, or visit www.crime-stoppers.org. All tipsters can remain completely anonymous.
