  • Organisers say more than 10,000 took part in protests
  • Students say plans to scrap grants will deter poor from attending university
  • Shadow chancellor John McDonnell addressed protesters

In my opinion, an education should be free, and should be a global human right. We are living in 2015 and we are watching the youth of today being put under unpayable debt just to persue an education, a debt they will carry with them long into the working lives. The even worse fact of the matter is that the degree’s and qualifications these people are seeking no longer guarantee the best jobs, making it impossible to get out from under the debt. All by design.

I will continue to monitor what is going on in and around the protest and will bring anything of note to you ASAP
