Video: Ben Carson Says He Would Not Abort Baby Hitler
This has got to be one of the most idiotic, and yet entertaining, presidential election runs ever.
After Jeb Bush enthusiastically said he would travel back in time to slay baby Hitler (even though his grandfather financed Hitler’s rise to power), the baby Hitler question will not go back into the crack pipe it was smoked out of.
Now someone has asked Ben Carson if he would abort baby Hitler.
In what is perhaps one of the lamest 15 seconds of fame, it went something like this:
Reporter: “Carson as perhaps the most anti-Hitler but also the most anti-abortion candidate, would you be in favor of aborting baby Hitler?”
(Cue everyone else rolling their eyes in unison.)
Carson (looking completely unamused in any way like a person who has just taken a handful of valium): “I’m not in favor of aborting anybody.”
Carson turns away, managing not to yawn although he looks like he’s about to.
Actually, he always look like that, so never mind.
Reporter: “Not even Hitler, okay… Pro-Hitler.”
It should be noted that just because someone isn’t in favor of aborting Hitler does not automatically make them pro-Hitler. In fact, the question doesn’t even make sense because the time travel component is missing, thus it makes the guy asking the question just come off as kinda douchey for asking it. Ben Carson would have had to know about Hitler, then travel back in time before Hitler was born, and approve of Hitler’s mom getting the abortion for the opinion to even matter. Then again, some other fascist would’ve been groomed to take the man’s place anyway because World War II was about a lot more than just Hitler.
And… just wow. I can’t believe I just spent five minutes typing that… five minutes of my life I will never get back ever.
