The world is still lining up to take a shot a Donald Trump after the comments he made yesterday regarding how he would stop any new muslims from entering the country without them first being checked out to make sure they are not one of the jihadis now fleeing Syria as the Russian bombardment of theirs, and other terrorist held positions, intensifies. Whether or not you agree with him is besides the point, as it is his right under freedom of speech to say whatever the hell he likes!
What really gets me is the fact that people in Britain feel so outraged at his comments, they have flocked to sign a petition to have him banned from entering the UK. Right now, at the time of writing this, there were over 200k signatures, meaning that it may be debated by politicians.
My annoyance comes from the fact that people felt outraged enough by one mans words that they actually done something about it, albeit a token gesture in signing a petition that isnt worth the paper that it would once have been written on. Yet, at the same time, I seen no petition with hundreds of thousands of names on it outraged at war criminal Bibi Netenyahu turning up in the UK for a visit with Cameron et co!
Oh no, cant go speaking out against a man that buys our bombs to drop on women and children, oh no, lets reserve that kind of treatment for a man that merely expressed his opinion. An opinion, as it turns out, is very popular amonst the American people that he hopes to one day represent!
Donald Trump is many things, but stupid he is not. He knows that this is a topic that is really close to the Americans right now, and he also appreciates the fact that the refugees are like no other group that has come before. This group of people has been infiltrated by jihadis desperate to get out from under the bombs of Putin and Assad, and Trump is well aware of this.
We spoke before about this on the show, and what we are seeing is the weaponisation of a group of people. Its so hard to make a right call on this one, as there are genuine people with nothing left after years of war that we helped to perpetuate, yet at the same time we cannot just throw open our arms and let them in, for it is the Trojan horse that will lead to mayhem on the streets at home…. and this is exactly why its all orchestrated in the first place!
David Cameron has been out taking a swipe at Trumps comments, despite the fact he is ordering the death of muslims every day as the airstrikes continue to drop on Syria, Iraq and anywhere else he says is part of the war on terror.
Where were all the do-gooders when Cameron was asking parliament for permission to go and kill people in Syria? Well, there were a couple of thousand anti-war protesters outside in the wind and rain, but because Sky News and the BBC never showed much of them, there was no mass hysteria and a rush to sign anything that showed outrage at the plan to spread death and bloodshed to Syria.
Where was the outrage when Cameron accused anyone of not wanting to bomb Syria as being a “terrorist sympathiser”?
Where was the outrage and the petitions when the “moderate rebels” that we arm, fund & train, carried out a chemical attack on a Damascus suburb in the hope it would be blamed on Assad? Just where was the 200k people then I ask?
Signing petitions in this day and age is all about self satisfaction and self gratification. Its all part of the “oh look at me brigade”, that lot that will change their FaceBorg images on command the next time a selected tragedy is forced onto the masses.
People seriously need to get their priorities in order.
Finally, think about it this way…
If you signed the petition, you actually went and registered your disgust and unhappiness with a government that actually supports the Islamic State and all the other terrorists in Syria right now. You are going to criminals that openly kill people everyday about the opinion of someone that in reality means nothing? Good luck with all of that.
