ALERT:  WOMAN  REPORTS  CHILLING  THING  SHE  OVERHEARD  “MIDDLE  EASTERN”  MEN  SAY  ABOUT  MISSOURI’S  BAGNELL DAM

In the latest suspicious incident in Missouri in recent weeks, a Camden County woman told authorities that two men who were Middle Eastern in appearance asked unusual and detailed questions about a local dam, including whether they could rent a boat and tour it.

According to KMIZ-TV, a Camden County Sheriff’s Office deputy was eating at a Golden Corral in Osage Beach, Missouri, when a member of the waitstaff approached him. The woman said that a group of “Middle Eastern” men had come in and asked questions about the nearby Bagnell Dam.

The incident came after several suspicious incidents in Missouri that have led many to believe terrorists may be planning an attack there.

First came a rash of thefts of propane canisters from several locations. Then, large purchases of cellular phones — which can be used as remote detonators — were reported at Walmart stores in Columbia, Jackson, Cape Girardeau, Lebanon, Ava, Jefferson City and Macon.

The men who purchased the cellphones were also described as “Middle Eastern.” This was confirmed by police when one of the men buying the phones left his own personal phone behind in the bathroom.

“While speaking with Walmart employees, the subject who left the phone returned to the store to get it,” a statement from the Ava Police Department on Facebook read. “Officers spoke with the male subject who was of Middle Eastern descent and asked for identification which was provided.”

“People take all sorts of things that are odd,” Independence, Missouri, Police Officer John Syme said of the propane robberies. “But it’s definitely something that would be a ‘see something, say something’ type situation, where you definitely want to be on higher alert. There’s a lot of different things that can be done with propane tanks.”

Camden County Public Information Officer Cpl. Scott Hines told KMIZ the sheriff’s office had passed the most recent information on to the FBI. He encouraged other residents to report odd incidents to local authorities.
“With recent things going on in our country and around the world, people are kind of a little bit more alerted,” Hines said.

“It’s everyone’s responsibility to watch out for each other. We all live in this community, and we’re going to notice things that seem out of place and if we don’t notify the proper authorities, who will?”
