They say the Earth has a circumference of 25,000 miles, so there is a simple formula to determine the amount of curvature that should be seen in one mile squared. There should be 8 inches of curvature per mile squared, so why can we see full buildings 30, 40, 50 or 60 miles away, from top to bottom, while standing on the shores of the ocean and looking through a telescope? How is this possible?
