Chicago police actually return a gun? Very unusual, and a positive sign.
A concealed carry gun owner who shot a man firing at a group of people in April said Tuesday that Chicago police have returned his licensed firearm.
John Hendricks, 48, was taking a break between Uber fares in the 2900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue on April 17 when Everardo Custodio, 23, opened fire on a group near Hendricks' vehicle, according to his account and police records.
