Most people don’t look at it like this, but TSA security check points are nothing more than Liberty-free zones. And I really mean NOTHING MORE. It’s a place that desensitizes you into thinking it’s okay for you momentarily give up your individual rights and liberties for the sake of security. And people don’t mind doing this because, heck the people dressed in blue with the blue gloves are professional who are here to keep us safe…right? To paraphrase Franklin: “Those who would give up a liberty for security, deserve neither.”
Well besides numerous reports of theft, inappropriate behavior with regard to treating the nude body scanner like their own personal peep show, sexual harassment, discriminating profile checks and all around creepiness, TSA has another strike against them….a REALLY BIG Strike!
They miss 95% of all guns and bombs that airport red team tests attempt to smuggle onto departing flights. I hope you caught that…95%!!!
