NY: Off duty Police Officer Kills Craigslist Robber armed with air pistol

What robber would think someone in NYC would be armed…
An off-duty police officer fatally shot a man in Queens on Monday night, after the victim allegedly attempted to rob him at gunpoint. The officer had reportedly been responding to a Craigslist advertisement for a used car.
UPDATE BELOW: The NYPD has confirmed that the weapon recovered from the scene was a black air pistol, a type of BB gun.
