President Obama will address the nation in a rare primetime broadcast on Sunday at 8 p.m. eastern time where he will provide an update on the ongoing investigation into the tragic attack in San Bernardino and discuss the broader threat of terrorism.
The shooting at San Bernardino left 14 people dead and 23 injured. An investigation into the incident revealed that the two perpetrators were likely “radicalized” but they unclear on exact ties to terror groups. The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced Dec. 4 that it will treat the incident as a terrorist act.
In his weekly address, reiterated points he has made in the wake of numerous mass shootings and his initial statement on the San Bernardino shooting. He urged Congress to deny those on the terror watch list legal access to firearms.
