BANGKOK – Ten Syrians linked to the Islamic State group entered Thailand in October to attack Russian interests, Thai police said in a leaked document citing information from Russian intelligence.
The suspects are said to have dispersed to three popular tourist destinations with a view to carrying out attacks during the Christmas and New Year holiday, peak holiday season for foreigners drawn to Thailand’s beaches and bars.
