Celebration and Tragedy! The Burj Kalifa ignites it’s pyrotechnic display as the neighboring Adress (a 5-Star High Rise Hotel) intensely burns, causing major destruction on the commercial and residential buildings in the area.
The fire engulfed the hotel from the outside and did not spread inside, according to Dubai’s media office. Officials said that the firefighters have sustained most of the fire, however have not yet extinguished it completely.
As the building just caught fire, panic was reported in the area around the hotel and social media users posted videos of people running away from the scene in crowds.
The Address Downtown and residential compound has nearly 200 rooms and over 600 apartments. The hotel is situated about 2km from Burj Khalifa, one of the sites of New Year’s festivities.
Officials went ahead with the festivities, which included three displays beginning at the Burj Khalifa. The skyscraper is decorated with 400,000 LED lights, and 1.6 tons of pyrotechnics were ignited.
In February, a massive fire broke out in the Marina Torch, a residential skyscraper at the Dubai Marina. The residents were evacuated and no fatalities were reported in that incident.

Clearly in one shot, you can see people standing on at least two balcony’s waving for help. It appears they may have blankets over themselves. Why is nobody mentioning this?
….and do they really expect us to believe it’s just a coinkydink that a building called the “Marina TORCH” went up like a torch to ring in the new year?

I knew that building would be hit, when I was looking at it, over a month or two ago…I will not tell you why I knew that…it’s something to do with the architecture of that particular building…that City is open and welcoming; I would say is secretly becoming Christian…;) L. pray for that City.
Yeah, because buildings never experience fires, ever, unless it is some vast conspiracy, right?
Um, the headline is, cough, misleading, since the other place went ahead with their fireworks, right?
