(Before It's News)

“Everybody says every year the election is the most important, this one probably really is,” said Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation, as he discussed the importance of the 2016 presidential election and gun rights during 2016’s SHOT Show.

According to Gottlieb, it’s the most important election ever when it comes to gun rights. He suggests that four years of Hillary Clinton in the White House, doubling down on Obama’s anti-gun rights agenda, could mean the end of the Bill of Rights and the Second Amendment.

Stressing the importance of gun owners to get engaged in the election cycle, he thinks they can make a big difference.

“A lot of people are excited and energized. I don’t think the anti-gunners are quite as excited or energized. I’m hoping the gun rights movement is what pulls off the election.” he said. “We account for one or two percent that can change. Lots of gun owners aren’t just Republicans, they’re Independents and Democrats. If they cross over and vote for a Republican candidate, Hillary Clinton will not be in the White House.”
