The Obama Administration announced plans Monday to issue an executive action to advance gun control measures, bypassing Congress in the process.
The President’s action aims to expand the role of background checks in the gun buying process.
Measures include altering current rules that allow weapons to be transferred through trusts; that gun sellers are licensed; state and federal authorities are more fastidious with criminal records; and expanding the background checks system with more staff for better availability.
