FL: Two Pit Bulls Shot during Deadly Attack on Pony

Deputies arrived to find the dead pony in a pasture, while one of the pit bulls lay dead feet away and the second dog was found injured and bloody in the road. Officers noted that the pony’s mouth and nostrils were torn away, reports state.
Charles Terrell, 62, told officers he shot the two dogs as they attacked his pony, adding that the dogs also tried unsuccessfully to get into his chicken coop.
