For facebook, create fake accounts with false data. I mean to use it you wanted to give away your life history anyway, I have a couple of organizations I work for who use Facebook as their web site. They definitely want their business known. Use Firefox as your browser, add adblock plus and ghostery, block everything and if tracking is not your thing set in option privacy never remember history to on. If really really paranoid use Tor.

I knew FB was cia funded and sponsored when it first came out so when I did use it, I used a fake name and never posted any pics. I normally just used it to be able to read on there because sometimes you can’t read a persons page if you aren’t logged in.
I haven’t really used it in 5 or 6 years though because i could see what it was being used for. And further proof its government controlled is in Europe they are using it to track people speaking out against the muslim caliphate I.e immigration crisis in europe. Everyone should just stop using FB, google, youtube and create something to replace all of them.

I was at a site the other day and in order to comment i had to give them permission so they could “post comments on my behalf” and I said no freakin way! What are these people thinking????
Worse, FB has silenced the free exchange of ideas on many political blogs.
They are also working with Windows 10 who according to some experts NOTHING is private on it DESPITE what Microsoft says.
They record EVERY keystroke and you can’t turn it off. So combine FakeBook with Widows 10 and ……

Deleting anything you put on the net is a futile exercise. Everything is still online on the cache servers and can be recovered.
Quit Facebook a couple of weeks ago…they want to infringe on free speech and the head of Facebook sends lobbyists to Washington to bring in more foreign workers to take American’s jobs..not for me…and shouldn’t be for anyone here…we helped make the guy rich…and this is how he treats us? I don’t think so…so i agree …get off facebook now.

Just reading the title made me laugh out loud because my eyes somehow transposed the “F” in Facebook with the “Z” in Zuckerberg. How appropriate.
If you’re on Facebook get off it. I’m not on any of these social media sites except LinkedIn and even THAT is pretty useless. The real reason for LinkedIn is pure totemism where everybody’s like “check out whom I’M friends with.” What’s most suspicious about sites like Facebook is that (a) it centralises all your social interactions under one carnet. You don’t need that “convenience” because you can use e-mail, Skype, and you can host your own webpage for a very small fee on sites like Volny.cz or others. Same with the dictatorial censorship of sites like YouTube. I have my own websites and I host my own videos. I don’t need YouTube or any of these other pichovinas. Then there’s the fact that (b) it’s a mega time-waster. All my friends who are on Facebook are totally obsessed with it and spend all their time getting involved in all these petty conflicts and arguments. Furthermore, (c) it requires you to use your real name and provide a government-issued ID to join it. Excuse me, Facebook, but are you a cop or something? The fact that it’s free is also telling seeing as how that snot-nosed whippersnapper’s making billions because (d) he’s selling all your personal information to certain 3-letter agencies of the US and other governments for a fee. People have been busted for anything from robbery to drug use to tax evasion all based on information they stupidly provided to Facebook. Then there’s the minor fact that (e) the owner’s name is Zuckerberg.
In German, zuckerberg means “mountain of sugar.” So yeah, Facebook and Zuckerberg. Just switch the Z to an F and it becomes quite obvious.
Just saying….. what if Facebook users that want out started posting their passwords, so anybody and everybody could log in to any account…. the data collecting AI would be screwed.
