According to the Web site for Powerball there is no restriction on who can purchase other than the individual must be over 18 years of age.
Anyone from any country, even those that are at war with us or pose a world threat can take the winning proceeds and get a significant finacial boost towards their plans. Obviously there are many non citizens that only wish to improve their finacial situation.
We must be stupid that we would allow potential enemies and threats to our security use our own funds to wage war against us.
There needs to be a change in the rules.
It should be mandatory that the individual is a resident of the U.S.A. That is not unreasonable and that money will help our economy, not potentially harm us!
It is worth a discussion. How many jobs will this money generate, how many families will be helped and how many scholarship funds could be set up to assist students attending college? If the individual wishes to do international aid that is an option as well.
However to have it All leave to some other country is a deservice to the American People!!!
