Rand Paul slams White House for saying Trump disqualified himself from race
Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul slammed the White House on Wednesday for saying that Donald Trump disqualified himself from running with his announcement earlier this week that the United States should close its borders to Muslims until further notice.
During Tuesday’s press briefing, White House press secretary Josh Earnest noted the pledge that each Republican candidate has taken to support the eventual GOP nominee, remarking that “what Donald Trump said yesterday disqualifies him from serving as president” on the basis of the constitutional oath each president takes. As far as other Republicans, Earnest added, they “should say right now that they would not support Donald Trump for president.”

“What he said is disqualifying. And any Republican who’s too fearful of the Republican base to admit it has no business serving as president either,” the press secretary concluded.
On Wednesday, Paul took to Twitter to list the ways he felt the current commander in chief is unfit for the job, on everything from his policies to his appointments to his interpretation of the law.
“Yesterday the Obama White House had the nerve to say someone else was unqualified for office,” Paul said, in the first of a dozen tweets. He added in another, “Today I would like to put a mirror in front of the Obama White House and show them the top ten things that make HIM unqualified:” SOURCE
